Facebook provides a free method for disseminating your marketing strategy. It also offers an extraordinary ability to go viral, and it's the favorite contact mode for an enormous amount of people worldwide. Why is the ability to dominate Facebook for marketing your business so important? Because you have the convenience to combine affordable advertising, and smoothly integrate it with the enormous amount of potential customers globally (they have an astounding 750 million registered members).. And with Facebook you have the added feature of interacting through mobile devices instead of PC's, and you have a highly versatile tool todominate your business marketing strategy.

What do I mean by "dominate", we mean positioning your business to its best advantage and most profitable exposure. Here are a few tips for using Facebook. But remember Facebook will not plan a marketing strategy for you-- but it will help you understand the tools you can use to dominate your Facebook potential by building a positive user experience and boosting their involvement in your business.

Identify Your customer

The foundation of all marketing campaigns is, your customer. Identify him correctly and your chances of success and profit increase quickly.
You need to comprehend what is possible and add the structure of planning, and you create a successful campaign that will really work -- and work well, with trackable and assessable results.

You need to determine who is your unique customer? And take it one step further and ask: "Who is my unique customer on Facebook?"

Look among your own Facebook friends to find them.

Here are ten questions to help you separate your target market on Facebook:

1. Among my Facebook friends who conforms to my target customer's
profile?

2. What time of day is my Facebook friend online?

3. How many minutes or hours does he stay online?

4. What links does he really like and will happily spread?

5. What issues does he respond to? Is he triggered or driven by
humor? Social appeal? Environmental or humanitarian issues?

6. Does your Facebook friend ever recommend products or answer
questions?

7. What "answer" can I provide that will benefit my customer and
his friends, if he passes it on?

8. Does he complain about particular problems? What does he not
like? Does he spread links and information he doesn't like?

9. Can I use this predisposition to my business' advantage (without
turning him off)?

10. What are his needs? And what can I provide?

While your in this "critical thinking or brainstorming" mode, make sure you don't lose sight of the most important basic of all.

It's still all about your customer and their needs -- not about yours or your business'. You need to make sure you understand that, keep it constantly in sight and you're positioning your efforts to succeed.

There are many more important tips to implement to create an effective marketing strategy to dominate or positioning your business to its best advantage and most profitable exposure. But identifying your customers is one of the primary and most crucial to start your marketing strategy with.
