When I think of traffic generation methods, I think of the church. I know it is weird, but hear me out.

If you were to study the early church, you would see that it grew from 20 people to well over 100 thousand in a few years. Keep in mind that the movement was illegal, people were put to death, and they really did not have a place to assemble. Yet, the movement exploded.

How did that happen?

One word... evangelism. The early church focused on evangelism.

The way they evangelized was by sending people out in twos. Those willing to be sent were instructed to take nothing with them except for what they had on them, and they were to go into the cities and towns and find what scripture calls men of peace.

If they were to find a man of peace they were to stay with him for a few days then move on, if they did not find men or women of peace they were to shake the dust from the heels and move on.

How This Relates To Traffic Generation Methods

We could make the mental leap and see that marketing has elements of evangelism woven into it. Perhaps we are not looking to grow a movement, but we are looking to grow our sales. Although we are not physically being sent out, we are sending out pieces of information that are designed to evangelize our message. Starbucks actually trains customers and employees to be evangelist for their products. That is a traffic generation method.

The one saying that was repeated in scripture over and over again was; "how will they believe if they do not hear"...bring it back to what we do...how will they know your product if they do not see it?

How do people know what you are selling?

Seriously, how many eyes are getting on the products you own? What are the traffic generation methods you are using?

I might not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but I do know one thing...if you are not generating traffic then your not making money. The more people you talk to and the more eyes you get on your products, the more sales you are going to make...period.

Everyone needs 24 traffic to the products they create. Brick and mortar companies need boots coming through the door. Online marketers need clicks on their site. If you are not getting traffic to the products you create, then you are not selling products. If they do not see, then they do not buy...

I use to do what everyone else did.
  • Find a single keyword
  • Build a site around that keyword
  • Add some pages to that site
  • And then build a billion backlinks to those pages and site

But that is not what makes you successful with traffic generation...the answer is write for long term keywords...

The more content (evangelist) you create the more traffic you are going to get. But you have to be strategic with the writing and submission of that content. And dont forget to leverage your content.
