Blogs, blogs every where! With so many blogs out there on the WWW, how do you get someone to your blog? Well I will tell you some blogging secrets that are well...not so secret.
1. A picture is worth a thousand words. A little picture that is relevant to your blog is a nice piece of eye candy. It draws a reader's attention and gives them an idea of what your blog is about instantly.
2. Use a catchy title. Draw them in with an interesting title. Make them curious about what you are going to say next. Because of this a lot of times questions in the title can work well to draw attention.
3. Keep your page clean. Not a blogging secret but by looking at the majority of blogs, you would think it is. Make sure that the eye isn't too distracted with a bunch of stuff. At the same time you want to make sure you format your text so that it can be easily read. Try to avoid lengthy paragraphs that make your blog boring just to look at.
4. Keep it brief. Try not to be too verbose or wordy. Get to the point as quick as possible. Everyone enjoys a little wit and personality to keep it interesting but don't get side tracked with anecdotes that no one cares about.
5. Give your reader information that they want or need. Even if you are recounting your experiences you can add in a little life lesson or a tip about your experience that can help someone from avoiding the same mistakes that you have made.
6. Be a consciences blogger and make a blog that you would want to read. If you wouldn't want to read it, why would anybody else?
