An important key to managing your social media presence is leveraging your time. You've got to have a plan and a strategy going in on how you will make the most of every minute you invest in your social media marketing tasks. Today we've got three tips and tools for making the most of your time and effort on social media and other online marketing tasks.

1. IFTTT.com
You may not have heard of ifttt.com, but it's an elegantly simple service that lets you create powerful connections based on the statement:

If this then that

Ifttt (say, "lift" without the "L" sound) works with 49 different channels which make up the building blocks of how this tool works. Every channel has a trigger and an action. Using these 49 channels you come up with recipes for things that you need done.

On the ifttt.com website, they use this example of a trigger: "I post a tweet on Twitter.com" (this is the "if" part of the equation) Stay with me. I promise you, this gets good.

The corresponding action might then be: "create a status update on Facebook"

By combining all of the 49 channels into recipes comprised of a trigger (IF) and an action (THEN) you can come up with an (almost) infinite number of results.

You can create a recipe to add every image you share on Instagram to your Dropbox.

You can have all of your status updates automatically saved to Evernote.

There is a huge archive of shared IFTTT templates that you can borrow and set up using your own channels. It's free to use. All you have to do is go sign up and give permission for the API to access your profiles. Create a recipe or two to take over some of the repetitive online marketing tasks that you do every day.

2. Fiverr.com
This is where you get to lose all of your excuses about trying outsourcing. Fiverr.com is a website where people post listings of things they will do for five dollars. You can get a banner image made, get back links created for your website, video reviews, and all kinds of other tasks for five bucks a pop.

• You could hire someone to create a bunch of tweets for you.
• Hire a writer to write articles or blog posts.
• Buy a video review.
• Hire someone to post the review on YouTube.com for you.
• Install a blog.
• Spell out the name of your business using grains of rice. . .(and so much more)

There are a ton of things you can hire people to do for you for a measly five bucks. Hire someone from Fiverr.com to save you the time and effort, which will free up your time to focus on your strengths and grow your business.

3. Evernote
Evernote is a website that helps you to capture ideas both from online and from your daily life. You can capture and collect images, email messages, articles, lists, recipes, whatever information you need to keep track of. There is also a corresponding mobile app which lets you capture and access information from your mobile phone or tablet as well. Finally, the site helps you find all of that information quickly because it files it for you by keywords and tags.

In order to get the full scope of what this free software can do, visit the website and watch the introductory video. You'll be hooked.

Here are some tips for using Evernote to leverage your time with social media marketing:
