What RSS Feeds Are And How To Distribute Them

Do you know what an RSS feed is? Many online business owners don't, and due to this lack of understanding, they almost always are missing out on a ton of traffic that could be coming their way. RSS marketing is one of my favorite ways to distribute my content, and it also helps me to get new blog readers also.

The most common use of RSS feeds is with blogs. The simplest and easiest way to get an RSS feed is to go to a site called Feedburner.com. Their simple and easy process for setting you up is tremendous. I know this is true about Blogger.com blogs, but I don't think it's quite as easy when it comes to configuring it for Wordpress blogs.

With RSS, you can get alot of website visitors. Web owners use RSS feeds to provide content for their website or blog. There are some web owners who use RSS feeds so much that they don't have to do much of anything in their business. They set up a blog, insert someone's RSS feeds, and then sit back and watch how the blog grows automatically on autopilot.

Usually the kind of people you see doing this are people who are into the idea of creating "spam blogs". A spam blog is simply a blog that attempts to earn fast money with Google Adsense without having to worry about updating or maintaining their blog. But this is something that I don't advise you doing.

If Google catches you using a spam blog (and they more than likely will)... they will ban your Adsense account forever. And if you try to sign up for a different account, they know how to find you. So use RSS feeds as a way to distribute your content all over the internet, and getting people involved in making your business a success.

RSS feeds are hot right now because people can get your content from anywhere. They don't even have to visit your blog or website because they can receive it from their desktop or email inbox snippet simply and easily. If your title sounds interesting enough, many will click through to your site to read your post.

To distribute your RSS feed, it's best to submit them to the RSS directories. There are a ton of them out there, and it's a great way to get a high quality backlink to your blog or website.

This isn't hard to do at all. All you need to do is to go to Google and type in "RSS directories". You will find some websites who have a long list of directories that you can submit your feed to. People visit these sites everyday to find new content for their blog or website, so if they think your information is good, they will definitely use your feed to provide content for their site.

RSS feeds aren't hard to understand. Like anything else in the online marketing world, you have to be patient and do the grunt work to get your feed out there. It shouldn't take you more than 5 hours to do so, and after you've done that, if you have a blog... submit it to all the blog directories also. But that's a topic for another day.

Good luck with RSS feeds in your business today.
