My assumption is that they may become embarrassed due to a lack confidence in the quality of their video. But I've seen plain old videos that get tons of hits everyday, on autopilot.

And even if you upload your video and you aren't getting alot of traffic quickly from it, keep submitting to Youtube. I've seen peoples' videos that has around 25 hits, but if you take a look at their website rankings, they're getting alot of traffic to their website. So they must be doing something right. 2) Display your website information at the bottom of your video
This is how people will visit your website. Make sure that for the entire duration of your video, that you have your website address shown somewhere at the bottom. Youtube doesn't allow direct clicking or linking of your website address in videos, so it's up to your viewers to take your website address and type it into their browser.
If you think that this wouldn't work, then think again. There are alot of people out there making a killing this way with Youtube, and you can make a nice income also just off of your Youtube videos alone.
