Every month people have to pay a fee to use the web host's domain and website services. And if you're an affiliate for a webhosting affiliate program, you get backend sales automatically for each month that the customer stays with the web host provider.
A company called "Hostgator" has an affiliate program that is very successful. Alot of the websites that I visit I see that the Hostgator display ad is shown. I'm willing to bet that they have a very successful affiliate program.
