Hey guys, Patrick here...

Well today, I finally decided to get my butt in gear and start posting articles in the article section here on my 2nd favourite website on the planet (next to my own).. the wonderful Warrior forum.

I just have decided that now that I seem to have figured some of things out, I'd start giving back a bit in terms of some free articles.

I know you can also "Give Back" in the War Room too.. and it's a great spot to be in case you havent' check it out.

But the articles section is nice because people don't need to be a War Room member to read articles here.. although I think you need to buy the advanced services in order to post or reply here.

A bit of background, I started working in internet marketing about 2 years ago. I dabbled in IM before but nothing serious.

I have a long term senior sales and marketing background in the Fortune 1000 software industry.

When I found myself out of work a few years back based upon some big cutbacks at the company I was at, I had some decisions to make.

I could either spend a long time looking for another J O B or I could build my own business.

Over the years, I've been involved in building a number of other businesses, and have fortunately been relatively successful doing that.

But, I only owned portions or shares of those businesses.

I made a boatload of money with a few, and also proceeded to lose a boatload in some others, and through a series of my own stupid mistakes. I'll admit it.

Anyway, when I lost my job a few years back, my decision was to make internet marketing a full time business... or at least make a full time income from it.. hopefully I wouldnt have to work full time to make it happen,

I felt, my extensive sales and marketing backgound, as well as my software experience made me an ideal candidate for IM.

I also felt, as a middle aged guy (I think) it would probably take me 6 - 9 months to find a similar exec position to what I had previous.. that just seems to be that facts of life.. for some reason in the software industry 30 years experience, doesnt seem to be treated a badge of honour or experience, when you're that age, usually you are just percieved to be an old guy, as unjust as that may be. (I prefer to cosider my self, vintage, kind of like Classic Rock vintage, classiv vinyl vintage, Roger Daltry vintage.
You know what I mean.

Anyway, my decision was to get started on a journey in internet marketing, and forego a long discouraging job search.

First Steps into a Brave New World

So, my first thought was I best learn some stuff.

And to get started, I signed up to Chris Farrell's coaching program.

And 2 years later, I think it was a wonderful decisions. How lucky for me that I stumbled upon it.

Chris is an amazing trainer, he has a easy going manner, and he seems to cover everything in detail, and at a pace that a new internet marketer can follow along with easily.

I feel Chris Farrell's training gave me a solid foundation and understanding of both the technical aspects of IM, such as WordPress, Facebook pages etc., and well as the promotion aspects.

I personally feel very strongly for newbie internet marketers, Chris' training is the best on the market.

So, first off.. thank you Chris Farrell.. you gave me my start, man!!
I'll always appreciate what you did for me!

Two years later, I now am making a full time living in internet marketing (and even helping others out).

But that's skipping ahead quite a bit..

Tomorrow, I'll update you on my next steps following my initial training, including some other amazing mentors I've been fortunate to learn from.

Here's to your Internet Marketing Success.
