Lead Generation And Why It’s Important In Your Internet Business
What are some of the ways that you plan on making more money in your internet business? Have you seriously thought about that question, or are you still contemplating using the latest new “fad” in internet marketing. I only have 1 thing to say: everything that you need to know about marketing your business online successfully has already been established.
The only thing that you need to be concerned with is how you will get your next customer. And if you didn’t already know, getting your next new customer will begin by acquiring a lead. Now some people like to run ads or create content, and send people directly to their sales letter page. But if you ask me, I think it’s more-so in your interest to lead people to a “squeeze page” and capture their email address for future follow up.
What is a “squeeze page”? It’s simply a very short webpage that is designed to capture a lead. The lead gets entered into an autoresponder, and then the autoresponder will be set to email you with good information every few days or so. It’s up to the seller how often they will choose to send out emails, but for me, I send out emails every 3 days.
I’ve tried sending emails everyday, but I got a ton of unsubscribes from doing this, and I made absolutely no money. Then I switched to the “every 3 day” model and got sales immediately. I only had about 10 people on my email list, and I still got a sale. This is definitely something you will want to consider using in your business today.
You see with a lead, you can do alot. You can market to them, lead them to your sales letter page, offer more content via your blog, offer more content via your articles, or do all 4 of these things at once. If you were to lead people to a straight sales letter page, if they don’t buy - they probably will never return to your site ever again. But with opt-in email marketing, you can drive traffic back to your website over and over again.
Believe it or not, this will also boost your website traffic also. On top of the new prospects that you get to your website everyday, you will get additional hits from your email subscribers - that hang out on your blog or read the articles that you have… thus resulting in even more traffic, all while making yourself look like an expert all at the same time.
Generating a lead is very important, so don’t forget that. Nothing happens until you get a lead. You can have the prettiest website, the best product, an awesome backend product, and etc… but if you can’t get traffic and generate alot of leads for your business, your business life will be short.
Stick to generating a lead and you will be good to go. Don’t listen to those who promise some brand new “Holy Grail” traffic method, and that you have to pay $97 for it. Ignore people who talk like this, and just focus on the normal ways of generating traffic to your website.
