Starting up a joint venture can be a good idea if you're looking for ways to get more sales and profits. It can really be a good thing for your online business. If you have a product, but are struggling to get new leads to sell it to, you should try your luck with a joint venture partner.

You have the product, and they will more than likely have the list. Now you want to make sure that you're not approaching rival competitors with a joint venture. You never want any of your customers to become there's. So look for people in your niche who sell to a similar crowd that you do, but that totally isn't in direct competition with you.

When finding a joint venture partner, there are some things that you will want to do before you proceed with contacting people and asking them if they want to become a JV (joint venture) partner with you. And in today's lesson, that's exactly what I will be helping you to do. Here's the first thing that you will want to do before approaching a business owner about a possible joint venture alliance:

1) Get to know your potential JV partner

Now you may or may not already know much about your potential partner, but just to be on the safe side, you will want to join their email newsletter to get a feel of what your partner is like. Email them and ask them questions from time to time about some of the things that they discuss in their email newsletter, or blog.

You will also want to follow them on their blog. Whenever they make blog posts, comment on their posts and ask them questions in order to get them to engage with you in some conversation. Make sure you sound intelligent when posting and asking questions, because some people just won't respond back to a "non-relevant" blog post, or question.

Here's another tip for getting a JV partner:

2) Have a good proposal letter

Your joint venture proposal letter can either seal the deal, or cause your potential partner to say "no". So inside of your JV proposal letter, you will want to include a few things. You will want to include the commission per sale that they will make, a copy of your product that they can review, the sales letter that customers and prospects will be directed to, and the price of your product.

You have to make it seem like you will be doing all the work yourself. Your potential partners are busy, and they don't have the time to waste on petty projects that will earn them very little money. So keep this in mind when approaching a potential joint venture partner.

Take these tips and use them to earn more money in your business today. Joint ventures are a very lucrative proposition, and you will want to incorporate it into your online business as soon as possible. The sooner you start your joint venture campaign, the sooner you can get on the path to earning more new sales and profits, and more customers.

Good luck with using these joint venture marketing tips in your business today.
