Knowing how to create a profitable promotional email can be very difficult because often it comes down to experience which can take many years to perfect. I will save you time by giving you 3 powerful tips which I have learned over the 5 years of sending promotional emails online.
Create Desire and Curiosity
The first task you are set with is creating lots of emotion, but not any kind of emotion. Curiosity and desire are two very strong forms of emotions that we have because when you desire for something and at the same time it makes you curious people will go to the extreme just to get the answer.
Creating plenty of curiosity and desire within your email will set your reader up well for the next part of the process.
Call to Action
This may sound like basic stuff but there is a lot more to it than just giving them a link.
You are best to include at least 3 links within your email because when people read through your email you get some that will want a link within a couple of lines, others will read most of your email and then click a link, while others will read every word of your email before clicking the link.
For best results include one link at each of these stages and you will stand a far greater chance of getting more people clicking on your link instead of leaving the page.
Create Scarcity
Creating just desire, curiosity and a call to action is not good enough. You also need to include some scarcity to get people to take action right there and then. If you don`t give them a reason for taking action right at that moment they will put it off for another day and you could lose out on a lot of sales. A good way is to offer a time limited bonus or if the price is increasing every certain number of sales. These types of techniques do work very well so include them in your future email campaigns.
