Would you like to receive more traffic to your website? Here are 5 of my favorite traffic sources:
1. Guest blogging
Most people will tell you to do guest blogging because it helps with SEO. While I like SEO, most people do this wrong. When they guest blog, they only care about whether their rankings go up.. or not. That's not the proper way of doing it..
You have to make sure your guest post is published either by a site who has a lot of traffic or traffic in the specific niche you're targeting. That's the only way to get relevant traffic back to your site.
2. Trackbacks
If you publish content every day on your blog, you should include references to recently published posts in very popular blogs. You see, blogs have a special function which announces you when another blog has included a link to your post. This way, you can receive semi-automatic links back to your post.. and obviously get traffic.
3. Blog directories
A lot of people miss the power of blog directories. I highly recommend submitting your blog to sites like alltop.com.
4. PDF reports
Every once in a while I pack my most popular posts in a PDF and distribute them to the most popular PDF directories like scribd, docstoc, etc.
5. Tutorials
Create tutorials and submit them to tutorials sites. The best places to submit your content are: good-tutorials.com, tutorialized.com, etc..

Anything you do, or will decide to do is successful or not depending on whether you manage to get traffic to your website. It’s a challenge, but not one that you would have to face alone.
