How to Build a Huge List Fast

Building a list is one of the best ways to create an online income you can sustain over a long period of time. Once you get to where your list contains thousands of subscribers, you can easily send out one or two email a month, promoting a product, and make a large sum of money. Many top Internet marketers have used this method to increase their income and sustain it for the long term.

The short answer, for building a huge list fast, drive traffic to a squeeze page and give something away for free. Of course, to get the free thing you're giving away someone must enter their email address and subscribe to your list. There's also longer answer.
The Long Answer
Breaking down a method, I've used to create a huge list that allows me to make money on autopilot we need to look at free traffic sources, what I give away, how I give it away and how I set up squeeze pages. These are all key elements in the list building process.
1. Free Traffic
Many think it's difficult to get free traffic. However, I only use free traffic sources to build my lists. Simply put, I use article marketing, guest blogging, social networking and a handful of other free methods depending on my niche. All of these work great. Article marketing and guest blogging brings me the largest amount of traffic. I just write good articles, submit them to top directories and link back to my squeeze page.
With guest blogging, I make sure only to provide blog owners with high quality content and they always let me link to my squeeze page in an author bio or resource box. After I develop a relationship with a blog owner, they will actually contact me if they need content.
2. What I Give Away
It's very easy to pick something to give away to your list. You can create a short free report, usually around 1500 to 2000 words in length, or you can give away a free tool/plugin they can download and use immediately. The keys to give them something they can use instantly.
Giving away something for free as an easy way to get somebody to enter his or her email address. You don't need to collect their name, just their email address will do.
3. The Squeeze Page
I like to use Wordpress for the majority of my websites. Within Wordpress, there are a few free and easy to use plug-ins to create great looking squeeze pages. Remember, whenever creating a squeeze page, simple is better. You don't want to overwhelm your visitors with too much sales copy.
Since your goal is to get them to enter an e-mail address and download your free report, you don't need to make it difficult. Whenever I create a squeeze page, I like to keep the email subscription form above the fold. This means, when you go to my squeeze page you can see all of the text and the subscription form without scroll down on the page. This works best for conversions.
By creating a free report of some sort, using free traffic methods to drive traffic to squeeze page, asking subscribers to enter only an email address and letting them download your free report/tool/plugin, you will build a list faster than you can imagine. I started from scratch and was able to build a huge list in less than a month with the methods I've described here.
