When I first got started with internet marketing, I made alot of mistakes. I would try to fake the amount of hits that I got by repeatedly visiting my website, in order to appear like a guru. I poured vast amounts of money into pay per click advertising, and I didn't get any sales back. And I wasn't sold on the fact that free marketing could be better than paid advertising.

However nowadays, I know much more than I did when I first started out. Sure some strategies are better than others, but you just need to test and see which strategy is best for your business. For example, I know that podcasting is a very good way to promote your products and services, but it's something that I don't use in my business - due to the other strategies that I'm doing, and also due to the fact that I would rather do video marketing rather than podcasting.

It all depends on you. You will want to find a few good marketing strategies that you can use to take your business to the top. But one thing that you definitely don't want to do is to rely solely on one traffic strategy that can bring you traffic. Relying on one traffic strategy is dangerous for obvious reasons.

For one, what if this traffic source dries up and becomes no long profitable for you. You would have to start from ground zero! And I know that this is something that you definitely don't want to do. Instead, diversify your marketing efforts and find other good ways to get traffic to your website simply and easily.

You never know the day where one strategy can disappear within a matter of days. It could hurt your business dramatically. So this is something that you definitely don't want to do. And if you're addicted to this one strategy and don't want to let go of it, I urge you to find other strategies that can get you the traffic that you're looking for.

For example, a great traffic strategy that you can use alongside the strategy you're doing now is forum marketing. With forums, you get to position yourself as an expert in your niche, and make it seem like you are the "go to guy" (or girl) that people should be following.

There are a ton of benefits of participating in forums. You can get alot of traffic; you can meet new business partners; you can get more ezine subscribers; you can get sales; and all of this is done for free. You will want to find the right forum in your niche that can deliver to you alot of traffic.

To get started, go to Google and type in "[your niche] forum". So if you're in the gardening niche, you would type in "gardening forum". If you're a golf fan, you would type in "golf forum". If you're a chiropractor, you would type in "chiropractor forum". This is a great way to find a ton of forums fast for your niche.

These techniques for marketing your products and services are techniques that you can use to improve your sales and profits simply and easily without fail. I suggest you start using them today if you want to see your business grow and grow simply and easily.
