Action
Before you can ever achieve an online income or marketing success, you must take action. I don't know how many stories, but it's been quite a few, I've heard of people browsing through the Warrior Forum and other online resources before they get started. Many of the stories include somebody spending months or even years researching, trying to find some golden secret or just procrastinating from actually taking action. I am here to tell you, if you take action and dedicate a consistent amount of time to your online business, you can grow and make an online income.

When I started, I worked part time, about 5 hours per week. It took a few months, but I was able to build up a substantial extra income to help support me. This eventually spearheaded my internet marketing career into a full time, work from home, situation. You can do this too, but you can't do it without taking action.
Pick a Plan and Go
Most of the different guides for internet marketing you can buy in the WSO section or from other online resources provide you with one or two really good methods for internet marketing. The key to success, as a beginner, is to pick one of these plans and get started. Trying to use multiple plans at the same time can get confusing and cause you to lose focus.
You may not even need to spend any money to get started. Many of the free guides out there will give you a strategy to get you going. Once you master what you find in one guide, you can move on to another. However, make sure the strategy you start with has either proven to make you money or you've exhausted all of the options within it, proving it doesn't work. It could take two or three months before you completely see the results of using whichever strategy you choose.
Building a List
It doesn't matter what strategy you choose, you need to build a list from the beginning. I spent nearly four years working as an internet marketer before I realized I wasn't building a list. I had a large amount of traffic coming to a couple of my websites and wasn't making nearly as much money as I could have, because I wasn't building a list. No matter what niche you decide to enter or what method you use, spend the few dollars it cost for an auto responder and start building a list immediately.
Develop a Skill
Whether you develop a skill as a writer, designer or any other skill, this will make it much easier as you move forward. Developing a skill allows you to market yourself and freelance when you need to make extra money. This can make the transition from part time to full time quite a bit easier and can also provide you with any easy way to make quick cash when you need it.
Don't Quit
Too many new marketers try, try and try again, without much success, and then they quit. This happens right before they start to see success or discover the strategy they can actually implement to gain that success. I can say with authority, you will probably fail more often than you succeed. However, through those failures, you will learn and you will know what works for you and what doesn't. Simply put, don't quit or you'll never make a dime online.
