So what is the difference between a custom blog and a blog template? Many of our customers ask us this question when they are considering starting a blog for personal or business purposes.
Lets start talk about the two and the real differences between them.

A Custom Blog is a blog you pay a blog designer or design team to create for you to your specific details. Custom Blogs can include a custom graphical header, color selection, design layout, widgets, forms, installation, configuration, and much more. Basically, the options are whatever you want done but the more you want the more it will cost you.
The real benefit of Custom Blogs is that you can get a blog designed to exactly what you want. So if you want to brand your company or yourself, you have complete control over what your blog will look and feel like.
Blog Templates
A Blog Template is template you can generally purchase from online blog template stores. These online blog stores will have complete blog templates that you can purchase and then install into your WordPress installation as a theme. The prices can vary from low to high prices. So if you want a quick blog and don't want any type of custom design, then you can go with a Blog Template.
The downside to this is that you will generally have to still have a graphic header made, logo, colors adjusted, and possible other changes. Many of our customers start with a Blog Template and then realize that they want changes made.
