They are both very passionate about making things work online and are doing everything that it takes to succeed. They have this burning desire to really succeed and hopefully quit their day job at some point.
For the purpose of this article and to get my point across, these 2 affiliates are promoting the very same product but one will earn only $2500 for the whole year and the other person will earn $15,000 or more. By the way, they are generating the same amount of sales. They are both getting 100 sales for the whole year for a product that banks them $25 per sale.
So how does one affiliate only get to earn $2500 and the other $15,000+?
Simple, the first affiliate is advertising the product to others and is getting a one time commission every time someone buys. If he gets 100 sales for the whole year and each commission banks him $25 per sale (this is just an example), his income will be $2,500. $25 times 100 customers equals $2,500.
Now affiliate #2 takes the same product, makes the same amount of sales as affiliate #1, and is able to earn $15,000 and more for the whole year. How is that possible you say? Well, affiliate #2 is going to offer that product to others for a $25 per month recurring fee. He gets paid $25 per month from each customer that he brings in. He knows that there is no way that he can earn the big money from affiliate programs that pay him once.

If you want to do really well online, you can not work with one time commission programs. For the same effort that you put into getting new sales should be focused on residual income programs only.
