If a prospect is scanning your website's index page then he/she will be able to decide in a few seconds whether your page is worth taking a detailed look at or not. There are two main things that most visitors take into account:
· Is the page or website complicated?
· Is the page or website relevant to his/her search query
Tip#2: Your Offer
It is not necessary that your website or index page has products on display; all you need to focus on is selling your offer. Hence, you need to focus primarily on a single call to action on your page.
Tip#3: Navigation
Since your landing page is not the homepage hence, it is not necessary to have a full navigation menu. Most of the simple pages work much better towards lead generation.
Tip#4: Use of Graphics
Graphics attract and most visitors would love to see graphical representations and colors but the important thing is: never go overboard!
Tip#5: Content
Visitors never read through landing pages; they always scan these pages. Hence, the more effectively, you present your content i.e., with bullets, paragraphs etc; the more it will help in lead generation.
