Operating Against Competition Within Your Niche Online

Are you afraid of a little "healthy competition"? It's nothing too serious... everyone online wants to succeed, but very few do. So why is that? Well, one part of it has to deal with the niche that you are in. In some niches online, it's incredibly tough to profit in build a solid business.

Niches such as weight loss, internet marketing, home business, fitness, forex, or even entertainment might seem like a popular venture, but you should do your homework before you jump into any of these niches. Yet nevertheless, newbies come online and try to operate in one of these niches - expecting to make fast cash.

It just doesn't happen like that. You could wind up spending thousands of dollars trying to make money in these competitive niches. What you should be focusing on is how can you make a full-time business in a very small niche. This will require product creation, or product outsourcing.

So if you're in a small niche like "how to raise pot belly pigs", you could create a product for it, but then what? How will you get more money from your initial customer from this niche? The answer is that you will need more products for backend sales (sales to existing customers).

Sure you could probably find an affiliate program to act as a secondary product to offer, but nothing is like having your own product and system in place where you can earn 100% profits from them, and still have them in your customer database so that you can sell them on other products that you have to offer.

Now in a small niche, you may have a few competitors - but not too many where it's almost impossible to make money in. More than likely after about a week of promoting your niche product, you will get a sale. You will want to scale up these efforts even if it means advertising more, or doing more free marketing.

But you will find that you don't even have to work too hard to get sales within a small niche. People in your niche probably aren't "trained to buy", so you will get alot of fresh new faces that no nothing about your product, or what it is that you are trying to do with them. This isn't a bad thing... if they don't know, they just don't know.

Just make sure you stay on top of your competition at all times, and stay on top of the marketplace. Join a good forum in your niche and start participating on there. While you're at it, join a good internet marketing forum that you can join and get your internet marketing questions answered. One good site like this is called the "Warrior Forum".

Hopefully you'll put your marketing in high gear and start promoting your products online very successfully. It'll take a while, but as long as you don't give up, you will eventually see success. This is something I learned a long time ago, and I'm benefiting from my all of my determination today.

Good luck with marketing and selling your products online.
