That's Jeromy Shoemoney in 2003, overweight, bummed out, working a deat beat job and not going anywhere too fast.
His dang life plain ole sucked..
Fast forward just 2 short years later to 2005, and below is his first cheque he received from Google for $132,994.97
(and he lost a lot of weight too)..
Jeremy took to making money online and succeeded.
The dream of internet marketing had always captivated Jeremey, not just the thought of having a secure re-curring stream of income, but more importantly, the control that internet marketing gives over your life.
When you've mastered making money online, you call the shots. You get out of bed when you want to get out of bed. You eat lunch when you want to eat lunch. If you don't want to work today and just want to go down to the local pond to feed the ducks, well you can do that if you want too.
The freedom was what drove Jeremy to reach new heights in the online world, more so than “just trying to make a million dollars”.
For those of you who don't know, one of the best things about internet marketing is that you don't have to create any products or services to make money. You can be what's known as a “affiliate marketer” which means your a affiliate for other companies products and services.
You can literally signup in under 2 minutes with 100s of different companies to sell their products and services. For example, you can signup to be an Amazon affiliate, and say for example you're a keen fisher, well you could start blog writing about the best fishing spots, post pictures, news, etc....and on your blog you could display banner ads for fishing rods or even review the latest fishing rod that came out, and if people clicked on your ad and went through to amazon and bought a fishing rod (or anything else for that matter), then you'll earn yourself a commission on the sale, which will then be wired to your bank account.
You can do this for any product or service you like!
It's always best to create a website or blog about a topic you have a passion for or know something about as you're more likely to succeed selling something you love already.
Whilst attending college, he founded his first website for Mactonish gaming fans, as that's what Jeremy's passion was for, playing video games. Instead of studying for exams, he was busy pulling in cheques from companies who wanted to place their ads on his sites.
Then after the bubbly 90s the sobering 20s and subsequent dot.com crash came and gave Jeremy along with a lot of others in the industry a bit of a hair cut, after paying off all of his bills he was left fresh out of pocket, and was forced back to the 9-5 workforce to make ends meet. Due to his utter dismay and intolerance of the corporate world he was eventually let go by his boss.
By the tender age of 28, his health had turned for the worse, he was weighing in at over 400 pounds, had over $50,000 in unpaid debts, was smoking like a camal and had to restort to sleeping on a friends couch.
After hitting rock bottom and coming to the realization that it just couldn't get any worse, and when you've hit rock bottom the only place you go is up he decided to re-launch back online with gusto.
He created his blog and put every inch of his heart, time, effort, guts and money into creating an re-curring online income. This time he wanted to nail the whole internet marketing thing good and proper.
And he succeeded....
It just goes to show that if you want something bad enough, you'll get it!
