What To Look For In A Web Video Converter

If you’ve ever searched for a web video converter and have been frustrated with the results that you’ve seen, then I know exactly how you feel. I can remember when I purchased a web video converter only to be frustrated with the complicated use of it. If you’re an internet marketer and you’re looking for a web video converter that you can use to convert your videos into flash format, then you will have a hard time on your hands.

I would know because I used to be in this same position. I had a large .AVI file that needed to be converted into flash format so that I could place it on my website. The problem was that most of the web video converters that I had seen was too technical to use that I wound up uploading the entire video to my website. This made downloading and viewing the file a hassle.

If you want to save time, choose a web video converter that is easy to use. Video can definitely increase your conversion but the wrong type of video format can draw users away from your site. For example, when you upload an .AVI video onto a website, you will find that the file size is about 100+MB worth of data. This is an extremely large file for a short 3-4 minute video. In flash format, this video would only be about 3MB big.

The flash video format that I am talking about is .FLV video. There are 2 kinds of flash video formats that you can choose from: SWF and FLV. Both work great for compacting large AVI files into smaller workable files. This is the only kind of video that you will want to work with when uploading videos to your website.

When looking for a web video converter, make sure that has an easy graphical interface. In the computing world, we call an easy to use interface a GUI - or graphical user interface. This is a technical term for “user friendly”. All this means is that the product that you’re working with is very easy to use and understand. Essentially, it was made for dummies (lol excuse my language).

But no seriously, the web video converter that you purchase should be made with you (the user) in mind. If a web video converter seems too technical or hard to use, then don’t buy. One way you can tell if a converter will be hard to use or not is by studying the sales page of the product.

The sales page of the web video converter should have screenshots of the product in action. This is the best way to determine if the product looks hard to use or not. There’s a product that I use that is very user friendly and converts large video files to FLV video in a snap. Be sure to do your research on the different web video converters out there before you buy one.

Putting up video on your website is a first step in the right direction towards increasing your sales and profits. Video is known to increase conversion rates, and you can stand to benefit from all of the features that video gives you.

Good luck with finding a web video converter that works for you.
