Before you go about getting free hits to your site, it’s important that you have a strong marketing plan that you can rely on. I can remember when I first started out, I had a detailed plan for creating my website and a detailed plan for marketing my website also. Both plans took me about 2 days to create, and by the time I was done with it, I had two great plans that would work out well for me.
You can say that I created a “road map” to follow because that’s how detailed it was. I still have that marketing plan here till this day, and I regularly review it to keep track of what I need to be doing to market my website. My marketing plan included alot of ways to get free hits to my website, and I want to share some of those ways with you.
Here’s one of the first ways to get free hits that I included on my marketing plan.
I included blogging in the mix because it’s so easy to get your site listed on Google using the blog and ping method. If you didn’t already know, if you had a new site and you wanted to get listed on Google, it could take you up to 3 months to get your site indexed. But if you have a blog and your website is listed on your blog, your website could get indexed in a matter of days.
I still use the blog and ping method till this very day to get traffic to my website. What you want to do is optimize your blog posts around a certain keyword that you want to rank high for. Begin your keyword research at Google using their free keyword tool. You want to target keywords that are low in competition but still have a significant number of searches for them.
Once you have found a keyword that you want to target, go to blogger.com and create a new blog. After you have created your blog and have gotten everything set up, it’s time to start posting. Take the keyword that you just targeted and include it into the title of your blog and also your subtitle.
Next, it’s time to start writing blog posts. Include your keyword again in the title of your blog post and include it in the body of your post. You want to go for a keyword density of around 2-3%. This means for every 100 words on your website, you want to include your keyword 2-3 times. After you have created your blog post, head on over to pingomatic.com and ping your blog.
You want to do this every time you create a new blog post. Try to aim to write 1 new post a day and then go for 2-3 blog posts after you have gotten comfortable with it. This is a great way to get free hits to your website so be sure to utilize them starting today. Here’s another way to get free hits.
Podcasting is a very underutilized marketing strategy but it can be very effective for increasing your sales and profits. With podcasting, all your doing is creating instructional MP3 files and uploading them to the popular podcasting directories. There are a ton of them out there, but I believe the most popular one is Itunes.
All kinds of people are using podcasts to market their website. One popular person that I download podcasts for all the time is money and finance expert Suze Orman. Whenever I can’t catch her shows on TV, I go to Itunes and download her podcast from there for free. It’s a win-win situation for everybody. I will eventually buy some of her books when I’m ready but for now I will stick to the free advice.
As you can see, getting free hits doesn’t have to be a complicated thing to do at all. Getting free hits is as simple as taking action. If you can take action, then you have what it takes to drive a swarm of traffic to your website in a short amount of time.
Good luck with getting alot more free hits to your website.
