But if you have a blog and your website is listed on your blog, your website could get indexed in a matter of days.
I still use the blog and ping method till this very day to get traffic to my website. What you want to do is optimize your blog posts around a certain keyword that you want to rank high for. Begin your keyword research at Google using their free keyword tool. You want to target keywords that are low in competition but still have a significant number of searches for them.
Once you have found a keyword that you want to target, go to blogger.com and create a new blog. After you have created your blog and have gotten everything set up, it’s time to start posting. Take the keyword that you just targeted and include it into the title of your blog and also your subtitle.
Next, it’s time to start writing blog posts. Include your keyword again in the title of your blog post and include it in the body of your post. You want to go for a keyword density of around 2-3%. This means for every 100 words on your website, you want to include your keyword 2-3 times. After you have created your blog post, head on over to pingomatic.com and ping your blog.
You want to do this every time you create a new blog post. Try to aim to write 1 new post a day and then go for 2-3 blog posts after you have gotten comfortable with it. I will eventually buy some of her books when I’m ready but for now I will stick to the free advice.
