Confessions Of A Professional Affiliate Marketer

I am a professional affiliate marketer and I have some confessions to make to you. If you didn’t already know, affiliate marketing is tough, and I foresee it to get even tougher as the days go by. What I do to make money with affiliate marketing anybody can do, and I will share with you some of the things that I do to make money.
The first thing I do is video marketing. I submit 2-3 minute long videos to Youtube and get free traffic from Youtube. Youtube is the biggest video site so I tend to only focus my efforts on them. You can submit to sites like Google Video and Metacafe but I can’t guarantee you any real results.
If you’re camera shy and don’t want to show your face on the camera, there are things that you can do to get around this. There’s a free software out called “Camstudio” that you can use to record your videos (I know it was free the last time I checked for it. But due to the demand of this product, it may have gone to a paid version.)
Camstudio allows you to record and create something called a “screencast”. This is when you record a segment of video of something that you’re doing on your computer screen. Screencasts are very useful for creating “how to” videos on something related to your niche or website. Consider this option if you’re intimidated by the camera.
The next thing I do is forum marketing. I’m a member of the popular forum “The Warrior Forum” and I make posts everyday. I get free traffic back to my website from them and get alot of sales because of it. I reserve my website and selling information to the signature line of my posts.
People hate it when you come on the forums and start blatantly promoting your website. So do your best avoid doing this. Some people could care less about this rule and insist on posting their marketing message anyway. People like this don’t stay in business too long and their marketing efforts almost always go to waste.
The last thing I do is article marketing. As a professional affiliate marketer, I make it a point to write articles everyday and to further promote my website. I write up articles and submit them to the major article directories on the net. One of the best sites out there is EzineArticles.com. Their interface is user friendly and they’re good if you want to see sales from your efforts. As a professional affiliate marketer, I try to limit the amount of article directories that I submit to - and I have limited them to just a handful.
There are alot of article directories on the net but only a few of them are worth your time. Like I said EzineArticles is the best and the second best is Goarticles.com. These are the article directories that get my attention and worthiness in the internet marketing game.
As a professional affiliate marketer, you will have to commit yourself to marketing your products on a daily basis. Even when sales aren’t high, you still have to do whatever you can to further promote your business. Part of being a professional affiliate marketer is being responsible for your actions. And if you want to make sales, you will have to be responsible for alot of things in your business - so keep this in mind.
