It’s easy to make mistakes when it comes to marketing your business online. The trick is to learn from your mistakes quickly, and come back with a better plan next time. However, some people just fail to learn, and suffer the natural effect of failing in their business. But this does not have to be you.

In today’s lesson, I want to share with you some of most fundamental mistakes that newbies make when they start selling things online. It’s actually the same things that almost all beginners make. And believe it or not, alot of people who’ve been marketing online for years commit the same mistake also. But I want to bring these mistakes to light, so that you can avoid them in the first. Here’s the first mistake newbies make:

1) Picking the product before the niche

This is like the number 1 mistake that newbies make. If you want to make money online, find the niche first (the demand), then offer the niche a product that will fix their situation (the supply). It really is this simple. But then again, when I take a look at things, alot of gurus will have you convinced that you can make $5,000 by the end of the month.

The only time I see that this is true is when a company or business owner has alot of money invested into advertising, and they’re making a nice sized profit on each sale that they make. So if you’re lacking advertising revenue, and you don’t know how to sell a high priced product… you’re going to have to start off with free marketing and work your way up.

This should come as common sense to you, but online business owners fall victim to this mistake all the time. Don’t let it happen to you. Find a hot, starving niche, and figure out what it is that they are looking for so that you can supply it to them. Here’s another mistake that newbies make online:

2) Little regard to backend marketing

How are you going to survive in business without selling to your backend customers? This is your bread and butter. This is where 80% of your total profits will come from. So to totally deny them is a mistake. You don’t have to pay for advertising when it comes to selling to your backend customers. They like you and know you, and expect to hear from you.

This is the most profitable kind of list that you could ever develop. It’s more profitable than building up a list of free leads, joint venture leads, affiliate program leads, mailing list leads, and etc. If you can create a large amount of backend customers, you will be unstoppable in your niche. Trust me, I would know.

These 2 mistakes are things that you will definitely want to avoid because they can lead to business failure. Take my advice, and go out there and start marketing the correct way. Your internet business depends on it.

Good luck with earning money in your online business.
