Keeping Hope In Your Online Business Despite Slow Times

For some people online, they are getting slow results from their marketing. They feel that free advertising doesn’t work, pay per click advertising is dead, ezine advertising is too expensive, and that the only thing left to do online is sell on Ebay. Well if this was true, many successful people online wouldn’t be making any kind of money from their website.

Hopefully you don’t think this way. Even if you’re getting slow results right now, you should know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Now there isn’t anything wrong with selling on Ebay – but know that it isn’t the only thing that you can do, and it also isn’t necessarily the best business to be in.

You will just have to build up your traffic count one visitor at a time. Besides… do you think you could earn a great amount of income fast on Ebay with all of the fees? Unless you’re selling high priced items… you will have to sell ALOT of low priced products to make the income you’re looking for. And also... you will need to build a good relationship with the clerks at the post office. Lol… all of this is why I stopped selling on Ebay – even though I was doing good.

You can’t expect to make a fast buck online. Don’t spend alot of time monitoring other peoples’ sites and stats versus your’s. Focus on getting lots of targeted traffic everyday. This is very easy. You have paid advertising and free marketing to do this. Build up an email list, do forum marketing, do article marketing, do seo, from some pay per click ads, and etc. There are alot of ways to get traffic to your site.

Are you active with social media? If not then you should be. Facebook and Twitter can be 2 good marketing sources for getting you more traffic and more sales to your website. Be sure not to spam, and occasionally include information that goes on in your personal life. If you have a dog, talk about your dog.

If you have kids, tell funny stories about your kids. If you’re married, discuss some of the things that goes on in your marriage. Keep your readers entertained. They’ll stay subscribed for longer, and they will buy more from you because they will grow to like you and trust you.

So even if things are slow right now, don’t give up. You have a long time to go in your business. And things don’t cost much. You only have to pay for a website for around $10 a month, an autoresponder for about $20 a month, and maybe some small paid advertising. But you could certainly go the free marketing route and get traffic this way.

Many people struggle, you don’t have to be one of them. Make sure you contact your customers and stay in contact with them for any help or support that they may need. You never know when they may have a question for you, or when they will buy a product from you. So keep this in mind.

Good luck with marketing your business online, and don’t give up.
