Niche Marketing Online Principles

Are you a fan of niche marketing? Niche marketing is all about taking a large market and “slicing” it into smaller and smaller layers of niches. Depending on how much you slice, the more niche specific you can get, and the lower the number of competitors you will have. I know this from first hand experience. But you can’t just create a niche out of thin air. It has to exist, and you can’t make it exist. In fact, let me tell you a funny story.
Back when I first started out online, I used to sell this product about how to start your own offline business. I was told by the “gurus” to find a niche, and then market to the niche. So I figure this would be easy. And also, they said if you have a “connection” with the marketplace, this is an advantage also. So I said cool.
The group of people that I decided to go after were police officers. So I was going to sell a home business product to a group of people who (for the most part), was only interested in doing their job. They could’ve cared less about a business. This is something that never occurred to me.
So I found this police forum and started spamming my sales link all over the place. The response that I received was incredible. They started calling me names, calling me a rip-off artist, they wanted me to stop spamming and never return to the site, and within hours… my account got banned. This really did hurt my heart.
As of today however, I know not to try those bad techniques. Back then I was desperate for money, and I had no idea of how to get it. And all of this was caused by the fact that I selected the wrong niche, with a product that didn’t match up with it. However years later (today)… I know what I’m doing, and I know how to get sales from targeted traffic.
Niche marketing is very important. You can do alot of things with niche marketing. Your sales will go up, your conversion rates will increase, you’ll get more customers, you’ll get more sales from backend customers (they’ll be eager to buy more), and you’ll have more fun in your business because you’re making more money.
Just always remember to select the rabid and hot niche first, and then find or create a product for it. This is the correct sequence about doing things. You will get nothing but good results, and all you have to do is drive traffic to the site, and then make money from it. And I assure you that this process is easy.
You should know that there are all kinds of niches online that you can enter into and start earning alot of money. If you’re already in a small niche, you can either see if you can segment that niche even further, or simply enter into another niche to start making money from there.
Niche marketing is important in the online business world, and if you can grasp and apply these concepts, you’ll be good to go. It’s a great way to simplify things, and it’s a great way to start seeing sales immediately. I say that Ebay is a great place to immediately get sales, but selling within a small niche is easy to get immediate sales also. Be sure to use it in your business today.
