Being Unorthodox When Marketing Online

Sometimes the strangest marketing approaches work very well as opposed to the standard way of doing things. What I mean is that sometimes by being a big “unorthodox” with your marketing - you achieve your best results. I’ve found this to be true with alot of my marketing online.

For example, I’ve tested a nice looking “squeeze page” with the ugly squeeze page that I have now. A squeeze page is simply a webpage designed to generate a lead from someone who visits your website. Your best bet for making your squeeze page work is to get straight to the point, and not beat around the bush.

Why is my current squeeze page working well? I have no idea (and I don’t care either). All I know is that I’m not touching it, and I’m just waiting to get more and more traffic to my site so that I can get as much leads as possible. You should have the same mindset also. Thinking like this really works.

Sometimes when sales are slow in business, you have to think outside of the box. If you’re currently leading all of your visitors to your sales letter page, I would rethink this strategy. Imagine if you had a list of 5,000 people who you send emails out to everything with helpful information, and a link back to your website. You would get recurring hits everyday, and (more than likely), people will be buying from you all the time. I’ve seen it happen before in my business.

To think outside the box online, you have to get weird with your marketing. If you have a pretty sales page or squeeze page, but it’s not generating you the results that you’re looking for, then you need to change things. Try something unique. Don’t go with beautiful graphics and flashing banners… try something plain and original.

Remember, your prospects only want the information - so don’t overcomplicate things with them. Give them what they want, have them subscribe via your squeeze page, and follow up on them for future possible sales. This is how I do it, and this is how alot of other successful online marketers do it too.

Like I said the more you apply yourself and do something different than what you’re doing now, you’re only a few steps away towards having the breakthrough success that you are looking for. And being different isn’t a bad thing. If “different” means being “unconventional”, then so be it. Do you want to be on the positive side of profits, or on the negative side?

Don’t let the way that your competitors market dictate your marketing. If they feel that you are running ridiculous looking ads online, then let them think that way. The only person who will know that you are having breakthrough success is YOU. You could silently run laps around your competition this way, so don’t take it lightly.

Take these tips and use them to boost your online sales today. Make sure you’re doing marketing that WORKS.
