Alot of vendors do succeed to get quite a bit of affiliates to promote their products and services - but most of these affiliates won’t generate alot of money for you.

It’s been said that only 5% to 10% of your affiliates will make you the most money. So just because you have alot of affiliates, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you will make alot of money. In truth, the real way to make yourself successful with affiliate marketing is to make your affiliates successful. Sounds simple right? Well, it is.

Alot of vendors just hope and wait that they may make sales, but it just doesn’t work that way. You have to throw promotion at your affiliate program and get people to join it. Here’s the first way to have success as a successful affiliate vendor.

1) Provide them tools

Most of your affiliates are too lazy to develop the marketing tools necessary to make their campaigns a success - so you have to create them for your affiliates. This alone can cause an increase in sales. Most of your affiliates don’t want to work hard to make money. They think that sales are supposed to come overnight based on what the gurus said.

So what do most of them do? They direct link to the affiliate sales page! This is the most ineffective way to market anything online. Teach them about list building and then nurturing the list so that they can create or develop high quality leads that will buy from them. Here’s another way to have success as a successful affiliate vendor:

2) Email super affiliates

There exists an elite group of marketers on the planet called “super affiliates”. These are the people who are seriously earning thousands of dollars each and every week using affiliate programs alone. These guys aren’t easy to come by… they hang out on little-known sites online.

For example, one way that you can find super affiliates is by joining forums. Internet marketing super affiliates hang out on forums such as “Warrior Forum” or “Digital Point”. You will want to contact the members who have been around for a long time, know what they are talking about, have credibility online, and who has a list that you can market to.

After you’ve emailed these guys about your affiliate program product, offer them a nice sum and a review copy if necessary. They want to prevent refunds - not have their sales “crossed out” because people are constantly refunding it. So keep this in mind.

Affiliate success and sales can be yours if you’re willing to work at it and are willing to endure during hard times. But I think you’re doing the right thing by building up a group of affiliates who can promote your product for you.
