Google Suspended My Google Adwords Account!

If you are new to Google Adwords, I would suggest you to pay more attention to this post or else you will be walking down the wrong path just like me- theoretically it is a dead end for me in Google Paid advertising.
For any online business, the key to success is TRAFFIC, then Conversion. There are many ways to build the traffic to your website, e.g. Google Adwords (pay per click or PPM), banner advertising with other advertising agency, forum participation, organic ranking (via good SEO practice) and many other means.
Google Adwords is always a good source of traffic. You can set up your campaigns to target any keywords you want Google to send you. Of course, there are some keywords which Google Adwords wouldn’t take, for example, Pills. To have your campaigns approved by Google, you will have to make sure that your landing page (your website), the ads and the keywords are complying with Google policy.
I remember 2 or 3 years ago when I first have my Google adwords account set up, I tried to run a campaign promoting a site - PickTheGenderOfYourBaby.com for fun. But now the domain name no longer belong to me as it is sold off to other. That campaign was therefore deleted years ago. Google came back and scanned my campaigns last month. And to my surprise, my Google Adwords account was suspended!! The reason being is PickTheGenderOfYourBaby.com is “MISLEADING/INACCURATE CLAIMS POLICY”. So you can see that one can be ‘penalised‘ by Google for a DELETED campaign and also domain name that no longer belong to him! This is RIDICULOUS for me. I have tried my very best to communicate with Google Adwords team to resolve this but the final answer to me is:
Of course there is another campaign which I have deleted long time ago was found to be violating Google policy- Rm1000PerDay.com. Google does not like a site that promote ‘Get Rich Quick Scheme’. No matter how hard I explained to Google Adwords team that it is NOT a get rich quick scheme but a Guideline and Tips that I would love to share with my readers on how to set up their own internet business. So the only condition that they would consider RM1000PerDay.com as not get rich quick scheme is to completely change the model of the business! Anyway, there is no point making any changes to RM1000PerDay.com if my account will still be suspended if I can’t do anything to PickTheGenderOfYourBaby.com.
It shows that Google is a bit inhuman sometimes.
Worst still, the Google team is found to be not very well trained. Some of them don’t even know the policy well. Therefore you have to be careful when you are taking their advice as they may get you deep into trouble. One of the advice they have given me is:
After trying to find out the reason why my friend’s account was suspended, I was told by another chap in the Adwords team that my friend’s account was suspended because he was trying to run campaigns which appears in suspended account (my account), even though those campaigns are complying with Adwords policy. So that is the end of my friend’s Adwords account too.
So now I have most of my online businesses running without paid traffic from Google. I have personally learnt a great deal from this bad experience. The moral of the story or the take away for this post is- do not rely on one source of traffic only. There are many ways to generate traffic to your website. Most of the times they would ask you to amend your landing page or campaigns and reactivate your account after that. Please make sure you write to them politely. I’m sorry to be the harbinger of this news but there is nothing that can be done. There is no way around this policy (Robot is controlling here).”So you can tell that I am basically sentenced to death for something that I did not do.
