eBay Guide Series 3 – How to Make a Good Listing It has been a while since the last post on eBay Guide…. Today we continue with our eBay series, but with the guest post from Shireen C.
3 Steps To Produce a Good eBay Listing
Step one is to come out with a good eBay title.
Your auction’s title must strike a delicate balance between four things:
1. It must contain the most popular keywords.
2. It must motivate the bidder to click.
3. It must draw the reader’s eye.
4. It must effectively do the above in 55 characters.

How to search for important keywords that sells? I prefer Google keyword tool.
Test capitalizing every word of your title because it makes the title appear longer, and it draws the eye.
Avoid using words nobody searches for, “cool”, “unique”, “beautiful”, “W@W” or “L@@K”.
Step two is to produce an eye catching image to attract more clicks.
A good picture says a thousand words. Make sure the image is clear and provide at least 4-6 images from different angle. Buyers would like to check out the product from different direction to make sure is in good condition.
Step three is create a professional salespage.
The bottom line is that a strong description is the single biggest factor in getting more clickers to bid.
A weak description can cost you lots of lost bidders, sales, and profits.
Your description should be much longer than you think it should be. As a general rule, your description should be at least three times as long as your instinct tells you it should be. “The more you tell, the more you sell”.
Here are some of the components that you need to include into your description:
1. Your eBay store Logo (if you have one)
2. eBay Header
3. Headline
4. Sub-headline
5. Testimonial
6. FREE bonus
7. Guarantee
8. Frequent Ask Session (FAQ)
9. Post Script (P.S.)
10. Your eBay Terms and Conditions
Follow these steps when you want to list your items on eBay. It’ll make a big difference.
