EzineArticles Pitfall

EzineArticles.com is by far the most renowned and popular article directory on the internet today. Everyone is using EA, and if you're not...you should be. After all, where else can you submit an article and get it on the first page of Google within a couple of days?
Well, if you think about it, this very thing could end up being a problem as well.
I guess it would depend on whether you are running your article marketing campaign to submit articles for quick profit or for long-term traffic.
Since there are thousands upon thousands of people submitting articles to EA in every single category, how long do you really think your article will remain at the top? If people continue submitting "behind" you, then they will quickly overtake your article for the top spot for that keyword phrase.
So in a matter of days...maybe even hours...your article could quickly nosedive to page 45 in the the Google Dungeon as other continue submitting, day in and day out, 24/7/365.
So what can you do? Continue submitting to EA, but also find a place or two where you know your articles will sit for the long term and quietly bring in traffic for years to come.

You make a very good point about article marketing with ezine articles. I have a couple posted on EA as well. Another peice of advice I would like to through out there is what ever the reason you are article marketing (which is probably fo $) you should have pen names and just saturate each keyword you have with articles to get the most out of it.
