Staying Focused is Essential

You have heard the experts speak before about the need to stay focused. They are right. It is necessary to stay with something to realize the profits. But...sometimes, you have to face the fact that you may be involved in something that is outdated or ineffective. You just have to keep your eyes and ears open and pay attention to what is working.
As an example, I bought into a program a few years ago that dealt with phone cards. I was to sell these phone cards and folks would carry them around looking for pay phones when they needed to "phone home". A great idea. Just outdated. You see, people were starting to buy cell phones like crazy. And, pay phones were starting to disappear. My timing was off. If I had stayed with the program and worked hard, I still would have been wasting time and money. It was a situation that staying focused would not help.
But, this does not mean that you should abandon your work in the fear that it is soon to be outdated. Just work hard and watch the world around you. And remember, if phone cards come back into favor, you know who to call. LOL

I tried that phonecard thing a few years ago and found that the only way they made money was by tricking and cheating. Cards which told the truth no one would buy! I'm much happier now just sticking to blogging and adsense!Posted 05-26-2009 at 07:16 PM by blogbrain
