Getting top # 10 on google is the target of 99% of the business community. To reach top on google, there are various things have to be done. Two main important things are Onsite SEO and Offsite SEO.
Onsite SEO - Setting the meta description, meta tags, keywords as well as title as per google guidelines.
Offsite SEO - Getting quality backlinks from authority sites.
Quality backlinks can be get by various methods, such as blog commenting, forums postings, article submissions, directory submissions, social bookmarking, creating profiles on authority sites and leaving link inside about me section or etc.
Well, Now the question is, how to become top #10 on google? I am into SEO field for past one year, As far as my experince, Forums postings as well as bookmarkings really helps a lot rather than other methods.
If you can get about 200+ postings on 200 postings(1 post-1 forum), That will be more than enough to get on top #10. Digg and Delicious too help a lot.
