O.K. so you don't like what anyone says, or do you?

As I roam around the forum boards it strikes me as odd that many posters have no idea to what they are responding.
Apart from the lost souls and bots that post a couple of words, there are several, apparently intelligent, people you will find in every stream who look at the stream subject line and then post a response to it.
That's fair enough if you are the first responder but how can anybody justify simply ignoring the efforts that have already been made to answer the topic? Often these people will scroll past several responses without even (it is clear from what they write) a cusory glance.
Forums made up of monologues are pretty boring places.
