Buyer List Building

Posted 05-04-2011 at 12:31 PM by Asher

After a long while, a good post finally appears, courtesy of Coby

The thread is about building a list targeted specifically at buyers.

I'll admit, I've been lurking around too much and doing very little active posting but that's something of choice, but when I see a post I like, I wanna save it just in case it gets nuked for whatever reason.

Here it is...

Now, this isn't really a "new" concept but it's worth reminding everyone...

Buyers!! Build your list with Buyers!!

Yes, buyers are so much more responsive and valuable to a list owner than anything else... Find your buyers and treat them like gold!

How do I find buyers?
  • Offer 100% commission (WSO pro is great for this!)
  • JV with others to put your product or squeeze page on their Download page in exchange for the same (this is the download page of a PAID product, not a freebie)
  • Dimesales! (again WSO pro - PaySpree is an option also)
I have been focusing on these 3 lately and WOW what a difference!

My list is still growing at about the same rate, but it's worth SO MUCH MORE! It's great too because I can now focus on providing more valuable content to them rather than trying to make more sales because I know THEY WILL BUY when I need them too...

Now how do you find the buyers on your list already? SEGMENT THEM!!

Find the buyers, get them on a separate buyers list and PROTECT THEM!

How can I find the buyers?
  • Always offer a paid offer after opt-in for a freebie
  • Offer low priced products (even a $1) to get them on the buyers list
  • Keep educating them so you can convert them into buyers later
What not to do:
  • Bombard the list with adwaps
  • Blast promo after promo
  • Be too lazy to segment the buyers
Yes you should market the "freebie" list more aggressively but do remember they are still a "prospect"! Just because they haven't bought yet doesn't mean they don't still have value...

Hope this helps someone What is working for you?
In addition to this post, I'd like to add some ideas of my own... sure, I could add them into the discussion but I choose to lurk for my own reasons.

The underlying requirement for my ideas is that you've got to have a quality product of your own. After which, you can (or should)...
  1. Head on over to JVNotifyPro.com and check out the newest launches, contact the product owners and offer your product for free/major discount for all buyers. When they click on the image/link, they'll be taken to a separate page with the owner's affiliate link. To make things easy, that page itself can be the product at zero or discounted cost setup at Clickbank but behind it, there's an upsell to give the product owner even more cash as the affiliate cookies should already have been dropped.
  2. Surf around the Clickbank Marketplace, CBEngine.com or even looking at the emails you've been getting about other new products, such emails should also have gotten new customers... Check with the owner if they would like an additional bonus which they can give to their customers that allows them to not only have a happier customer, but also to line their pockets with extra affiliate commissions with no extra work other than inserting an image/link. Now, for these people, since the product has already launched... expect no replies or even no response. But then again, that's how most JV happens... with lots of persistence.
