Internet marketing is about 3 things.
1. Traffic
2. Content
3. List-building
That's what it is to me after it's all boiled down. No part of it is bigger than the other, they're all related in the IM puzzle.
No traffic = no sales because no one can see what you are offering.
Lousy content = lost sales because people won't buy from you or want refunds (I consider stuff like blogging, podcast, video, copywriting, etc to be within content - because they are).
List-building is to create a long term relationship and what's called a long term customer value. To make as much money as possible again and again while building a trusting relationship.
