Why teachers fear business?

One often wonders why teachers have a fear of starting their own business ventures. They almost have an unshakable belief in their teaching jobs as safe heaven. No amount of persuasion convinces teachers that self-owned business in the field of teaching could give them much better incomes as compared to their teacher’s salary.
It could be fears of failing a very high fear indeed for teachers after all the word “fail” is a taboo word for teachers and avoided at all costs.
Perhaps it is a fear that business involves “selling and marketing”, the two words that often make teachers break into cold sweat.
Could it be the thought of risk involvement that business has and the extreme fear of loosing money in business.
Maybe they think that business families do business and teachers are not business people.
It can also be fear of technology and the offbeat thought “techie people do online business” and teachers are not technology oriented.
Funny thing is you spend endless hours explaining that Online business in education can be started with zero investment eliminating the financial risk, excellent tools and techniques are available on internet for marketing and selling . You can continue to tell them that internet has ushered new ways of doing online business and business is not reserved for business families. You can explain them that do not have to create new technologies but simply use available software to run business.
You can exhibit multiple success stories you can show them case studies but you cannot convince them to do their own business.

Why it is so? Any guesses.
