Using Resilience To Build An Affiliate Marketing Business

Resilience is one of the characteristics that I associate with building my affiliate marketing business and my transmission business.
Whether you have an affiliate marketing business online of a small business offline, you are going to have to be resilient. Business is a roller coaster and you are going to face hard challenges that will bring you to your knees at times and you have to be able to get back up and keep moving forward. You are, also, going to have to stretch yourself in order to build success in any industry; again, you are going to have to pull yourself together so that you can soldier forth. That is resilience.
When I think of resilience, I think of the sequoia tree. It survives because it is taller than all of the other trees in the forest and so it can absorb more nutrients from the sun. It has broad and deep roots so that it can get all of the nutrition that it needs from the soil and the water that resides deep underground. It can weather forest fires because its bark consists of a substance that makes it fire proof, in fact, it needs the heat in order to spore and create more trees.
So, how does knowing about this magnificent tree help you in your affiliate marketing business?
Walking through fire
There are days, weeks and even months in our transmission shop that I feel as though I am walking through fire because of all of the challenges, resistance and failures that keep piling up around me.
I have felt that way as I get started with my affiliate marketing business. I have failed in so many ways that I think that I have invented methods of falling on your face in this business.
Whatever we do in life, we are going to have those times when we feel that we are walking through fire; the question is, "Will we make it to the other side?"
The answer to that is based on how you look at the flames. You can either run from them or you can use them to grow and become more of who you were meant to be.
Strong roots
Rely on the roots that you have in your life, your values and beliefs, your ethics and your morals. These will not only nurture you but they will keep you from doing some things that you might easily regret. Your basic principles and philosophies will nourish the changes that you create in positive ways.
Take the time to really get to know your market. Most of us have gone into affiliate marketing because we want to help people and we have joined with a company that we believe offers a product or service that will enhance the lives of others. I know that when I went into MOBE it was because I had failed so much in online marketing that I thought it was great that there was a business out there that was totally dedicated to giving people the information that they needed in order to succeed in the shortest amount of time. Good gig, learn and earn all at the same time.
Continue to work on your self improvement. Do something every day that keeps your mind in the game and develops the skills that you need in order to take your affiliate marketing business to the next level.
Focus on the vision of your affiliate marketing business
Keep your head above the other trees so that you get a clearer view of what you are doing in your business. To do this you are going to have to know exactly what you vision is for your affiliate marketing business so that you can be scanning the skies for other opportunities that may present themselves to help you move in a straighter line.
People want to follow you for who you are and not just join a business because it's there. So, stay true to your cores values, beliefs and convictions so that you can be the strength that need in order to make the decision to move forward with their lives.
Develop a thick shell
The more that you put yourself out there and the more success that you find, the more you are going to have to have incredible inner and outer strength to deal with those that see you as a threat.
This is going to require you to develop your self respect by talking to yourself as though you respect who you are and what you stand for.
Give yourself credit for the fact that you made a courageous decision when you started your affiliate marketing business and know that you are the type of person that you would do business with because you are honest and trustworthy.
Many drop out of the affiliate marketing business every day, but not those of us that have the resilience to keep reforming ourselves into the successful person that we want to be.
