Product Creators are The Real Winners in Internet Marketing

We're sold a life where you can live in paradise and work from a laptop.

No Office. No Commute. No Boss.

The dream sounds amazing.

We read up on how to make this possible for ourselves and everyone selling a product on how to live this lifestyle is saying that it's easy to do.

Hmmm..... Interesting

We dive in a little more. We find sites like Warrior Forum, Black hat world, Wicked Fire, ewealth and so on.....

The words "Affiliate Marketing" Are humming in our heads with the idea of not having to own a product, create a product or deal with people. Wow!

Now, I've worked customer service and I give props to whoever can stand countless hours of negative feedback from unhappy customers. This was me at a grocery store, not online, but regardless, the idea of not dealing with people sounds amazing,

Excuse me while I digress.....

This is why I went on a hiatus and became a commercial diver for several years, hence my profile picture of me underwater in the Puget Sound.

I hated desk jobs. I hated bosses. I hated the minuscule tasks assigned by my superiors and so I chose a career path that few walk, being an underwater construction worker.

This community is small, specialized and there is a lot of money in it. Unfortunately, people die all the time in the commercial diving industry and it's hard to maintain relationships when you're away from home most of the year.

I quit. Used the money I saved up and actually lived in a small town in Mexico for the next year. The women are beautiful

Back on task!

As you can see, I'm not your average run of the mill worker bee. And being an internet marketer is definitely not your average career.

In a recent study, you only acquire 30% in pay of what actual value you provide working for a company, which means that the other 70% of the money that should be going to you is actually being redistributed throughout corporate management.

When I learned this, I was shocked. WTF!

Yep, this is why being in control of what you believe your time is worth is so important to me.

And being an Affiliate doesn't put you in control on the quality of the products your selling, how long the product will be around or if it even works because as affiliates, lets face it, we don't always buy the product and spend all the time going through the course.

Internet marketing and Product Creation

It is building a product that is going to propel you to the type of money that IM'ers are talking about.

Millions!

But even if you only made $10,000 a month from it, that aint bad either.

Learning how to create a product, produce a product and release a product are the ABC's of internet marketing or as I like to call it, CPR. It is the method of breathing life into what you thought would be a good product to bringing it into fruition and then releasing it for all who seek the answers that your product encompasses.

Knowledge is the key to success. And tangible information is what makes the world go round.

With the right information, anything can be accomplished.

This is why 1% of the world rules the other 99%. "We" all have bad information or it is presented in a way that seems like Greek, which makes us powerless.

This is why digital information products that streamline processes and make answers to problems easier to understand will always be necessary.

It's no different than translating the Bible from Latin to your native tongue.

If you have to rely on others to interpret what is written, then they have absolute power.

There will always be problems and therefore there will always be solutions.

Take, how to be successful as an internet marketer for example.

What is it that you want?

You want to know how to make money! And Stop spending it on products on how to make money.

I develop products. That's how I make money. Many of them years ago were offline.

I co-started a company that developed swimsuit calendars with girls I knew at college. No , I didn't graduate..... I liked to party too much. HAHA

Anyways, I also created a social network that was for college students to create virtual study groups. I liked the exclusivity of Facebook back in the day and it seemed like a great place to start, since teachers and parents couldn't spy on their kids like Facebook.

Basically, it was an exceptionally long and cold winter and people hated having to walk clear across campus to meet and study, call it laziness, but the idea dawned on me that what if they didn't have to physically meet.

This was in 2010, so there weren't a lot of free options to have multi-person chat rooms. So, I created a free social network for students to create virtual study groups.

It was a huge failure. No one wanted to migrate from Facebook.

I didn't market it correctly because I didn't have a clear image of the end result.

I didn't create the person in my mind that was going to use it, so of course, how would I know how to sell it?

Yes, I knew that it was college kids that would be using, but I didn't give them a name and a personality. If I did, this is who I think that person would have been.

Name: Christy
Personality: Bubbly, talkative, parties, wears sweat pants with juicy written on them lol
Drive to study: Doesn't want to leave dorm/house on cold nights during weekdays for study groups
Would rather: stay home and be able to be just as productive

When creating products, this is very important.

You need to have a picture in your mind of the perfect prospect before ever starting the production process.

The Pillars of product creation

1. Find a niche that is already hungry for products. You can go to cbengine.com and look at the gravity or you can go to jvzoo.com and look at what's hot and what else is on the market. You can also go to magazines.com and see how many magazines there are for your niche. You can use Google keyword planner and see what people are searching for as well.

2. Develop who is the perfect prospect ( create a character in your mind or model him after you if you would buy this)

3. Like writing a book, develop chapters first from beginning to end. Example below:
Title: Marketing for IM'ers
Ch. 1 The history of IM
Ch. 2 IM Industry Pioneers
Ch. 3 Principles of IM
Ch. 4 The Pillars of IM
Ch 5. Etc....

4. Research the topics of your product chapters, You can Google anything for free or go to Barnes&Noble and just read and take notes for free. You can read five books and become an authority on anything. (after this you can also publish an e-book with the same info, making you look like an expert. You can point to this whenever you make a product to build authority. You're an author now, WOA!)

5. Download a free screen recorder. I recommend this one (http://www.nbxsoft.com/screen-recorder.php) Copy and paste without parentheses

6. Download free video editor. I recommend this one (http://download.cnet.com/VSDC-Free-V...-75764187.html) copy and paste without parentheses

7. create a powerpoint with your information and grab free pictures from Google's duty free selection. If you don't have powerpoint, here is a great alternative(http://www.openoffice.us.com/) Copy and paste without parentheses

8. Purchase a cheap microphone from Walmart. If your computer has a built in mic, do a test recording and check the quality of the audio. Some computers have ok mic's.

9. Write a script that is similar to what you wrote in your chapters. You want it to be a little different, if not a bit improvised so you don't sound like a robot reading the same content on your slides.

10. Record screen while you talk about whats on your slides. Ad some charisma and sound excited. Mirror neurons in the brain of your information recipient or prospect, will feel how you sound about your product. Don't think for a moment that since they can't see you that they can't gauge your excitement or lack there of in your voice. Don't worry about rambling or saying "UH" a bunch, you can edit all this out later. Just go with the flow and leave 5 seconds at the end of each slide you're recording so people can catch up if they're taking notes. Otherwise they have to rewind the video.

11. After you finished recording all of your slides from each chapter, bring each video separately into the free video editor and edit them to how you like. Each video should be around 15 minutes. Not too long, not too short and easy to slip into if the person watching is on their lunch break from work. This way, they can feel like they accomplished something by being able to finish the video.

12. render each recording into an MP4 output and choose where you want to upload them too. youtube does have a private option for each video, but you might want to look into some cheap video hosting so people can't gain access and view it for free.

13. go to ipage for the cheapest hosting option. It's $24 for the entire year. Buy a domain that has your exact product name. If that's not possible improvise and add a number or something to it.

14. Install wordpress on that domain. Almost all hosts have a help chat that can guide you through the process of installing and setting it up. Choose a free theme in the appearance tab in wordpress. You can set all kinds of search parameters to find the perfect free theme. I suggest something that is clean and white. Avoid dark colors.

15. Make a separate page for each video on your wordpress website. There will be embedding code for each video you uploaded on your video host website. Place that code into each page that correlates with the topic of the video. Put a link in each page that goes to the next video in the series so it's easy to know where to go next.

16. I suggest you get a logo made from fiver.com. It's just the cheapest option. Give the logo designer you choose the details you want your logo to have. This will take up to 5 days unless you pay extra to expedite the process.Place the logo in the header of your website.

17. Place a picture of you and maybe a bit of a story about you on the home page. People like to see who they are doing business with.

18. Now let's write some decent copy. People resonate with what's called overlap, which is the overlap of similar experiences and feelings. Examples of this are shared frustrations, shared dreams, shared feelings, shared wants, shared needs. As you can see, since all of it is shared, you and the prospect are looking for a Win-Win. Which is really what business is all about. Person A pays person B for something that is of equal or greater value.

19. Set up an autoresponder and place your message in it so that when a purchase is made they click on a link to verify the e-mail address.

20. Now, you're ready to release. It does not need to be perfect. This is a ready. fire. aim. kind of a deal. The point of this is to stick your toe in the water and see how it is. This can all be easily replicated as you've seen. Create a Clickbank or Jvzoo account and follow the steps to become a product seller.

21. Finding people to sell your product. To find affiliates, a great way is to find websites that are ranked to sell certain products and e-mail them to look at your product to push to their e-mail lists. I recommend giving affiliates at least 50% of the sale. This induces interest and will be more profitable for both of you in the end because what you're really saying by do this is that you both are now in a partnership to make money. You can check to see which products are selling on clickbank and jvzoo and then google the products and find out which one's are affiliate sites. Find affiliates and you've fixed your traffic problem.

22. Don't feel bad about charging for the information product you've created if you think it's great information that is useful to people. This is your intellectual property now and people should respect that as should you.
