Do You Hate Yourself? Is It Killing Your Sales Slowly?

Posted 05-24-2009 at 12:10 PM by Chris Endres

What a weird thing to write about in a marketing forum right?

How well do you think you will do in your sales if you can't
present yourself as a delicious treat in one way or another for
the client?

Oh yes, this is not only appropriate, it is literally the foundation
of happiness in concert with success in your progress toward
your aspirations.

Think about this. If you achieved every goal you set out for,
and thought poorly of yourself at every step, where would be
the satisfaction in achieving?

You cannot ever truly win in the game of life until you win
the very first battle, the battle for control of who you are.

You may never have heard it put like that. You may have
never realized that it is "being" who you are that gives rise to
real satisfying actions.

Of course your initial argument will be "I am always being who
I am..." which, sadly my friend, is just not the case. If it were,
you would not be reading this right at this moment.

You are in a dogfight for control over who you believe yourself
to be, and you are so used to this fight you have become
conditioned to it and no longer even notice the conflict.

Calling me incorrect is saying experiencing love and fear is the
exact same experience.

If we can agree that those are certainly not the same
experience, you have ground you can follow this trail on. Come
with me now my friend...

You currently live in a form of subdued fear. It covers
everything you believe you know. It is the "what if" with an
attached negative outcome in almost every thought you have.

It is the monkey on your back you can't seem to free yourself
from.

If you can admit you are fearful, even in a male "I am
courageous" manner, you have cause to read the remaining in
this post. If you cannot admit you amble through life with a
fearful thought process, it will not make sense anyway
and you will reject the information, because awareness demands
understanding.

This is a base truth of wisdom.

To unlock your fear code in yourself is a simple matter, but it
demands true commitment. Commitment can be as simple as
deciding you desire a cup of coffee, so you will get one.

This is a commitment so pure it has no opposing potentials. You
make a decision, and have it just as you have chosen.

This is the depth of commitment I speak about when I refer to
complete commitment.

Now that you have the tool you need to make the change, let's
look deeper into the problem.

The reality of the problem is that you have forgotten that the
only life experience you have ever had has been "right now."

Think deeply on this.

You have never been in yesterday, but you can remember
experiencing it in a present moment.

You are not in tomorrow now nor will you ever be.

The present moment, it shifts with constant change.

As these changes happen, and you remember them, you insert a memory
of your being in that experience. Pay very close attention here...

The memory, of you, in your past, (and thoughts of your future self)
have replaced the "being" you are in the present moment of awareness.

These memories of self and imaginings of future self, have replaced
the "awareness" of your "real self" in this present moment.

Don't believe me? Watch your thoughts right this minute. Just try it....
Watch how the flow of your thoughts is always relative to a past or
future self. It's amazing when you discover this for the first time.

You have just witnessed and possibly re-discovered your Ego my friend.

The Ego is the active energy and belief system that talks constantly
in your mindstream and never shuts up.

It is always comparing and analysing values relative to self, trying to
gain advantage for itself and never quite succeeding in satisfaction.

The only time the Ego knows is past and future, because there is no
comparative potential relative to self in the true present moment,
and it is in the present moment of awareness in which it disappears.

It is the present moment of being you have always experienced, and
you can verify this if you remember your good times in childhood.

You were what you wanted to be as you were being it, and you were
happy. This was ego less living. You jumped, you ran, you played, all
in the present moment.

You drove yourself to your potentials, asking "can I jump even higher?"
or "Can I run even faster?"

When you slept at night, you were truly tired from a day where you
explored and pushed your potentials. Better still, you went to sleep
with anticipation for the next day.

You loved your life. And then you forgot how to do that.

That is where you are today.

So the major question you can ask at this moment to shift your
awareness back to the self you truly are wanting to be is this...

Am I the "thought stream" I listen to and react to every day, or am
I the "being that watches" that thought stream and picks and
chooses which thoughts to use.

The correct choice to this question is also the start of a journey
into a life of real joy you can reach in no other manner.

This is my phraseology of an ancient question asked and answered
by philosophers and scholars throughout our history.

You are the being who watches. That being does not know fear
because in the present there is no call for it. Even trauma
experienced in the present moment is not invested with fear because
fear is not recognised as a viable solution to the present status, so it
is not called upon for an answer.

So, how does this apply to marketing?

First, when you are not yourself, and you live in your myriad of fears,
you believe you can control your expression and not display your true
feelings of fear.

This is not the case. You speak involuntarily of the things you "believe"
which are based in your fears and even the average joe can tell the
difference between a fear minded man and one who is exuberant, joy
filled and free of hurt in life.

If you think back on your personal choosing patterns,
You will see you choose to be with happy people when you can. Not crazy
stupid happy people, I mean people who seem to have the answer to inner joy.

Men and women choose to do business with others based on relationship
relative to advantage delivering the achievement of goals.

The tipping point between two equal offers will be the quality of the
relationship that comes with the business potential.

You sabotage yourself unwittingly, approaching potential business
relationships with a crushed sense of self worth and continuing
affirmations that things are as bad as they are.

Commitment to overcoming the ego is the path to present awareness
of self and the true release from fear.

Reconstituting your inner joy is but a simple commitment away...

Re-open the eyes of childhood. Dream forward conciously.

Remember your true self now.
