As someone who both creates and uses PLR, I can tell you that using PLR articles for the purposes of list building is one way to make you automated income.
All you need to concentrate on is sending good traffic.
Let me explain with an example.
Example PLR Articles List Building Project
A few years back I bought some PLR email lists from here on Warrior Forum. These are quite rare to find which is surprising because they offer a way to build and market to a list without having to write the emails in the first place.
I had a quit smoking PLR email sequence. One email sent out each week. The emails were nothing complex, they were just PLR articles cued up in the email sequence.
I made a lot of nice money from this list and I just sent it traffic from article marketing. I would write keyword optimised articles and put them on Ezinearticles. This traffic originates mostly from the search engines and so is a good way to measure conversions.
So, how can you profit from list building with PLR articles?
Simple - just grab a series of high quality PLR articles (low quality will turn off your readers) and queue them up in an autoresponder. As many as possible but even 10 is better than nothing.
Then, drive traffic to your list. Wait for the sales. Monitor your opt-in rate and your conversion rate. As your list grows, you can monetise it further by selling solo ads and other ways.
