Niche PLR Article Packs - Why Use Them And How To Use Them?
Posted 07-20-2010 at 05:43 AM by Chris Kent
Niche PLR article packs are small packs of 10 articles, each usually around 400 to 500 words, on a variety of different niches. Why use them in the first place and what are some of the effective ways that you can use them to make money with?
Why Use Them?
PLR articles are a great way to enter a new niche. You don't need to have any prior knowledge of the niche and you don't need to do any research to start publishing and spreading the word about your site.
For example, you might know nothing about poker but a 10 article pack of poker will cover the basics immediately. You can also quickly scan them and get up to date on the main themes of the niche.
It would cost you 5 to 10 times as much to get custom written articles. Niche PLR article packs are much cheaper.
But What About The Duplicate Content Penalty?
This is still the subject of much contention.
On the one hand, news sites syndicate the same stories to hundreds of sites and all appear in Google. On the other hand, slapping a load of existing content onto a site will rarely get it indexed properly and getting traffic from Google.
So, what is the answer?
I recommend changing the wording slightly before publishing PLR. For example, you could rewrite the title and the first and last paragraphs only, as this is usually all that is needed.
Make Sure You Get Quality First!
Whatever you do, do not use PLR that is dirt cheap (e.g. 10,000 articles for 5 bucks) or free. This PLR is incredibly diluted and already appears all over the web. If you use such PLR, you will (1) find it harder to rank in Google and (2) your customers may have already seen your content elsewhere.
That's because this type of PLR has master resale rights. Someone bought it and resold it. This person then resold it themselves. The chain continues until the PLR is all over the place.
But the biggest reason to avoid this type of heavily diluted PLR that is already the hands of thousands and sells for dirt cheap is because the price reflects the quality: extremely poor. You will be forced to do a very long and laboriously slow TOTAL rewrite. These articles sound like they were written by a non-native teenager, and probably were.
Aim higher and be willing to pay a little more for your PLR. The going rate is around $10 per article which is a great deal you are getting for entry into a niche.
How To Use Niche PLR Article Packs Effectively
There are SO many ways to use PLR. Here are just some of them:
(1) Post to article directories for search engine quality traffic to your sites.
(2) Post to your blog.
(3) Post on your content sites.
(4) Set and forget: load up your autoresponder with follow-ups.
(5) Use to create an ebook or report - as a full product or a bonus.
(6) Create a Youtube video using the article as a basis.
(7) Use to create Squidoo lenses, Hubpage hubs etc. to drive traffic to your sites.
Conclusion on PLR As A Marketer's Tool
PLR is extremely useful and versatile and the tiny investment is more than made up from time savings alone. Your time is valuable and you shouldn't waste it on mundane activities. Check out high quality PLR written by a real Englishman below:

which works out at 24 cents an article?????
Aim higher?
Quality PLR = well written, recent, fresh and crucially Limited in availability, e.g strictly only 30 or 40 packs available.
Perhaps you could comment on the apparent difference above?Posted 08-06-2010 at 11:10 AM by FreshPLR
