Make Money With Clickbank Project Day 7 Report
Posted 08-21-2010 at 05:12 PM by Chris Kent
So a week has gone by, wow! But no money yet
This is because I have been disappointed with the EZA traffic which has only been a trickle. This should change soon for my other projects though (for reasons I can't say right now).
I'm quite tired so I'll make this quick.
Today I finished writing the first batch of articles for one of the Wagenheim projects. Tomorrow I will build the site and submit the articles (~2 hours work).
Today I finished a site that is nothing but a landing page and I have 10 articles on standby to submit to EZA tomorrow.
I spent a good 3-4 hours today uploading documents to Docstoc. These are articles already on EZA. I've heard good things about it so we'll see what happens.
I've noticed that BHers are stealing not just my articles from EZA but also my article titles! I'm beginning to think that EZA is a bit of a liability. As soon as you put something on there, it gets stolen and often outranks you! It's getting quite ridiculous IMO.
So tomorrow I'll basically get these 2 sites and initial articles for EZA done and dusted. Then I can move on.
Though I have a few more sites still to create, I'm cognizent that I need to get on with traffic building and not just creation. As much as I love creation, I want to see the damn money rolling in already!!!
I have been disappointed with article traffic so far. I have barely gotten around to redistributing this content. I need to repost to the other directories. I would love to outsource it but I have a lot of bills and right now I can't do that. Annoying, but I have to deal with it.
I still have big plans for next week. These plans were originally scheduled for today but will have to wait until Monday or even Tuesday. I'm talking about my video and xfactor projects that I have badly neglected.
My hope is that I will have created almost all my site content from these initial projects by then so that I can concentrate on a bit of traffic building each day while I do these other projects.
Some may say: "why don't you just build traffic for one project for a month?" instead of all these simultaneous projects that I'm doing.
My answer to that is: I told myself at Christmas that I would have 300 xfactor sites by March! Instead, I have only 10 and I created those way back in January! Similarly for my video project.
That reminds me. I still need to test out an idea I have for traffic that could be better than articles......if my tests show it does then I could even drop writing articles for traffic.....
So one week down, another to follow. I am quite confident that the $ should be rolling in by then. Right now, I am getting around 10 hops per day to my CB account but I think it should be double that in one week. Of course, let's remember that money is often delayed when building a list, but in the long term it's the right thing to do.
As always, please leave a comment

EZA traffic has slowed for quite a lot of people in recent times - articles which I used to get a lot of traffic for have slowed to a trickle.
It's to do with the changes Google have been making.
Personally I'd recommend that you spend more time writing content on your own site, and focus on search terms that you can win page one ranking with little offpage. If you can get a fast win with a page one ranking just with the search term in the domain name, for a term which gets some targeted traffic - that's a great start! I have a few sites now with a number of page one's on Google, with sites which are only 1-2 weeks old, and with virtually no offpage (2 of the sites have over 30 page one rankings each). They're for non-competitive terms, of course, but they're terms which get some traffic.
Ref CB - is it for something in the WM niche? I find that you need pretty huge volumes in the WM niche, and it has to be newby focused, otherwise the vast majority of people just go to marketplace, create a hop link for themselves, and get the commission on it themselves when they buy.
Thanks for sharing Chris, let us know what happens -it's very interesting to see what other people are doing & the rwsults they're getting.
Cheers

Hey Kev,
My sites are all outside the make money niche.
In the end, only 2 sites generated sustainable traffic. The others petered out. I'm going to develop these two and maybe do a separate spammy backlink type outsourced project later.
I feel that my profits have been dented by spammy backlinkers so if I can't beat em I will join em. There is a good site with many "SEO services" that I will use.
I like your strategy, I think it is like my low grav strategy. There are some hidden low gravity CB gems that nobody is promoting for which there are good keywords that are still unexploited.
Even without offpage, you can get good traffic. I think with some offpage (which I may outsource), you can totally dominate the niche.
