Google's "Partridge Family" Favicon

I admit, when I noticed the little symbol up in my browser the other day, I didn’t know what the heck was going on. Then, it hit me that Google must have changed their favicon again.
Did they ever.
Not wanting to settle for anything bland or even subtle this time, they seem to have gone with a lower case “g” surrounded by the familiar four-color-Google-rainbow in surprisingly hideous fashion. The first thing that hit me was that it kind of looks like the old Partridge Family bus.
