After enjoying some success in India, Yahoo’s “Glue Pages” are coming to the U.S.

Yahoo Glue Beta is essentially a pag of structured search results, pulling content on particular topics from a variety of different sources, including news sources, Wikipedia, image search, Yahoo Answers, blogs and video.

There are also paid search ads on the page (hint hint!). The sources change with the particular topic and not all topics are available, although the Yahoo Search Blog says...

Google has announced that they are pulling the plug on Lively, its browser-baseed virtual world application that could be embedded into other sites.

We were beginning to wonder why this program didn’t even work in Chrome, and this would seem to explain it.

The official notification says that the plug will be pulled on December 31 of this year.

The truth is, Lively was pretty much dead anyway. As TechCrunch reports, after an initial spike, Lively flat-lined…...
