Backlinks and keywords

Hi so today I'm going to talk about backlinking and how to make it easier on yourself. I need to say up front that I was terrible at this for years and it's taken a long time to figure it out.
As with all things backlink you need to find something that will work for you. However there are things you can do to make it easier on yourself.
Let's start with the basics. Keywords. Keywords are that short phrase or word that you use to backlink to. You have the word in your site google comes along sees it and then places you in their ranking.
So first thing to do is get your site together with a bit of content. I recomend about 40 - 50 pages. Thes should all be themed around whatever topic you're thinking of using. To do that you need to pick out some keywords. Go to Google's adwords tool (under tools and analysis) load up their keyword tool and then type in a few words that you think relevant.
Next look at the results. Filter out anything about 3000 local searches. This enabls you to have a list that is achievable. Now get writing your pages. One keyword per page. Mention it a couple of times, make sure it's in bold once and in an H1 tag once.
Once you have this then go back and use the keyword tool again. This time don't type in words but type in your website. Now look at the generated lis and take out everythin above 3000 again. Again write pages for the keywords.
There you have it a simple way of getting a lot of pages you can rank for.
Next thing is too generate backlinks to the pages through article marketing or similar.
Now you're probably thinking that 3000 is low well personaly I think it's high. You're better to get ten words ranked at 1 or 2 in Google than 1 word ranked at 20. The first two will generate more traffic for you.
I'm not saying this is easy. It's a ton of work to write than many pages and then get them backlinked etc. However it'll work and you'll get a site that ranks and has a lot of visitors per day. Using this technique you should be able to get 500 to 1000 (possibly more) visitors per day to your site.
