If I Could Start Over...

I think most internet marketers can look back at our initial online marketing efforts and pinpoint a myriad of things we could have done better. It's the nature of this (and ANY) business.
So what three (of many) things would I have done differently?
1. List Building - Though my business isn't a list-based business, list building is still a very important part of it. Looking back I left who knows how much money on the table over the years by not capturing visitors and customers. Still beat my head against the wall all the time!
2. Free Traffic - When I was completely new I ventured into PPC well before I should have. Unprepared and naked, I leaped into the PPC pool and got eaten alive. Looking back I would have started with free or cheap traffic and built a base income AND THEN when I was more prepared I would have ventured into the PPC shark tank!
3. Networking - I always thought that my business didnt require networking. Most of what I did was behind the scenes, I wasn't a product developer looking for affiliates and quite frankly, didnt want a public image. Now I know that networking is hugely beneficial NO MATTER WHAT you are doing online.
Hope that helps
May we each see success and prosperity!

- Thanks Ken,
I am new to IM and searching for my entry portal. I will heed your advice on List Building, Free Traffic and Networking. Will re-visit your Blog later. Right now, I need some sleep.
