It suddenly hit me. I couldn't believe I hadn't seen it before. While roaming through thailand I realized why some people just don't make any sales.
I was sitting in a bus and the other travelers around me were tweaking out. No one spoke english but us and they were panicking if they were on the right bus. Here's the thing.
When the details are fuzzy and unexplained, our instincts tell us we are being scammed. Things don't feel congruent with what we expect and we get uncomfortable.
The lack of english speakers to explain everything created this for those tourists. If you aren't explaining yourself fully on your site - you are doing it too.
If anything you say isn't congruent with the customer's expectation, they are going to get a little uncomfortable. And they won't buy.
