Keywords

What are keywords? What do keywords do for your Article? How do keywords play a role in the ranking of search engines such as Google, Bing, and Yahoo? I was baffled for a long time by the proper usage of keywords. It wasn’t until I started to use the search engines myself, to look for information I needed, that it clicked like someone just pulled the switch on. Duh! Where was I living, under a rock?
You want to use keywords that are relevant to your business, article, or product that you want to promote. Keywords that the search engines find attractive rank your site on the top and drive more free traffic to your site. You want to find keywords that are less popular, but not so unpopular that searches are low and you have very little volume of traffic. That’s why you will need to do some keyword research to find the right keywords that will fit.
The best way to find the right keywords for your business is to use keyword research tools. There are both free and paid ones online that are available to you; some of which have a thirty day trial before you buy them. If you go to Google and type in “keyword research tool,” it'll give you a large list of options. I was surprised by just how many were out there.
Once you have selected a research tool, type in the keywords related to your business and the program will produce a list of related keywords, along with the daily or monthly volume of searches for each one. Then, copy and paste those words to a search engine (Google) and it will generate the results. Now, the more results each word has, the harder it will be for you to market your business with that keyword, so you need to experiment a bit with different keywords to get a feel for what is an appropriate amount.
A piece of advice: If you're serious about getting your web page ranked on the first page and eventually to the top of search results, you have to do good keyword research. In fact, your success depends on it! It will take some time, but in the end you will profit from your hard work and you will have substantial free traffic to your business; which will result in sales............Never Surrender!
